It is with great pleasure that we announce the launch of the “European Society for Bioresorbable Implants” (ESBI) in 2021. The idea of this non-profit society originated from colleagues at the Danube Private University (DPU) for Dentistry and Medicine, in Krems, Austria.

With bioresorbable implants gaining in relevance and importance for the health, well-being and longevity of patients worldwide, it became apparent that expertise across Europe should be optimised and potentialised.

The intention of the ESBI is to promote and advance research in this topical area through:

Offering an annual conference to act as a hub between science and industry

Acting as a publisher of two new scientific peer reviewed journals

Supporting joint research activities and projects, joint funding applications
